Personal, Beauty, Seniors, Engagement, Couples, Family, Relationships, and more….
Your photo session will be an event to remember, and the memories will be as good as the images created. We know many people do not anticipate enjoying having their photo taken, which is why we do not take your picture. Instead, we create your portrait together, as you are part of the creative process. Most of our clients find the whole experience surprisingly enjoyable and even therapeutic. Having your session relaxed and inspiring for you, your family, or your friends will be reflected in the images that emerge out of the shoot. Everything that needs to be cared for will be cared for because that is what yields the best results. When you feel good, you look great.
Your unique needs will be first and foremost. The kind of shoot you want, and what kind of images you wish will determine how we need to prepare. To help you clarify your vision and aims, we'll consult until we all feel ready for your shoot. We will remain available to advise throughout the process.
We are also available for a clothes consultation before the shoot if you wish. If you want to do the shoot at a location other than our studio in Ballard, we can look at that and see how to make it work.
The shoot itself will be energizing yet relaxing. We'll go through your clothing options first (bring all you want) to find what works best. Not including hair, makeup, and wardrobe changes, the shoot time will be about an hour and half, although we can go longer if you wish.
A makeup artist will be on the set at no extra cost. This means you will look great, and any issues can be quickly resolved while leaving Ingrid free to focus on the photography.
After the shoot, Ingrid will go through all your images, and the best ones will get an initial retouching and gathered together as a presentation. When they are ready, we will invite you to come back to the studio for a viewing session. Come on your own, or bring whoever you want. This will be relaxed and informal, and you will be given plenty of time to make your selection.
This is also the time to consider how you might display the prints, for instance, how the framed images might look together as a collection on your wall. We will show some possibilities with your images in virtual frames and groupings on a 50-inch screen. You will see how they would look in a bedroom or other living areas in a variety of styles. This will help you decide on sizes, whether you want color or black and white, and so on. We also offer archival boxes, and you might even consider having us create a photo book for you.
After you make your choices, we'll do a final retouching before we produce your prints and repeat until they are at their best. We can create almost any size and finish you desire. For any print you buy, you will also receive a print-quality digital image as well as some low-resolution versions for use online. There is no obligation to purchase any additional prints, of course. After your included print, you only chose and purchase the photographs you wish.
Your needs are unique, and we're happy to help you clarify them whether you decide to go ahead or not. Feel free to call or email us. We would also be pleased to meet with you in person at our studio or any other suitable location. Together, we can get a sense of what is possible creatively.
